Billy Blatty Brings Diverse Business Concepts to New Orleans

Adept at conceiving creative designs and branding for top bars and nightclubs, New Orleans entrepreneur Billy Blatty boasts a long list of successes. For more than a decade, he owned and served as general manager of the popular New Orleans Ampersand Nightclub, growing it to one of the top dance clubs in the city. He also collaborated on Ampersand Events starting in 2007, bringing talent to rented concert venues. In that year, he also opened Ohm Lounge and developed a menu that brought accolades for Best New Bar and Best Asian Fusion, among others. In 2008, Billy Blatty founded Barcadia Bars, acting as construction project manager and marketing director, and providing the culinary vision. Barcadia Bars opened in various locations across the U.S. In 2009, he opened Beauty Bar in Dallas, Texas, serving as a passive owner and franchisee. Among his diverse business holdings, he once owned Heaven’s Pets in Metairie, Louisiana, developing the concept of providing animal cadaver transport and working with grieving clients on bereavement services.

A travel enthusiast, Billy Blatty seldom returns to the same place twice, preferring to visit new locations. His travels have taken him to most countries, and all continents except for Antarctica and Australia. Mr. Blatty is a competitive tennis player, skier, and auto rally driver.

In addition to enjoying the food, culture, and recreational activities of the world, Billy Blatty gives back through donations to support worthy causes, including the Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation and the National Organization for Rare Disorders.
